“Joshua Burge has arrived on the scene, and in a few years hopefully most cinephiles will know his name. Delivering a forceful and twisted comic performance as Marty Jackitansky, a beyond disaffected office drone that by day passes his time at work doing not much at all, stealing office supplies and ripping off the company a meager couple bucks at a time. By night he is in his own slacker punk nirvana, making garbage food concoctions and smashing video game controllers around.
“The obvious reference point would be Taxi Driver, both films being about alienated loners on seemingly doomed missions, and Burge delivers a performance that almost equals the disturbing heights DeNiro achieves. Always unpredictable, Burge seems like he could erupt in a violence outburst or pithy sarcastic remark at any moment, particularly when around his comic counterpart Derek (an almost equally great performance by writer/director Joel Potrykus), a relentlessly pathetic dweeb that seem to exist to push Marty's buttons. Burge's masterful comic timing makes the goofy and petty situations he's put into truly riveting, constantly putting the audience on edge, possibly doubled over with laughter if they can even manage to breathe waiting to see what he'll do next.” ~ Patrick Miller
